About Riverfront Plaza

Set on the St. Johns River in the heart of Downtown, Riverfront Plaza is Jacksonville’s emerging civic front porch, where daily life, festivals, and the river’s horizon meet. Phase 1 is now open with a signature rooftop playground, an event lawn built for community moments, and Riverwalk improvements that reconnect people to the water’s edge. Next, Phase 2 will bring new garden and water features, civic steps, a beer garden, and a bike and pedestrian link to the Main Street Bridge, extending the plaza’s reach and energy through 2027

Phase 2 will expand the east end of the park with new experiences and stronger connections, including a rain garden, water feature, civic stairs, a beer garden, and a bicycle and pedestrian connection to the Main Street Bridge.
